吕祖谦与“唐宋八大家”

LU Zu-qian and the Eight Great Men of Letters of the Tang and Song Dynasties

“唐宋八大家”是文学史上一个重要的概念,它的形成与被接受有一个过程。南宋以前学者对唐两家已有共识,但对宋六家文的认识还不一致。吕祖谦最早集中宣传宋六家文,梳理唐宋古文流派。他选编的《皇朝文鉴》、《古文关键》及其他从事的教育活动,对宣传唐宋八大家,确立唐宋八大家的地位、促进唐宋八大家的概念的形成起到了重要的作用。

＂The Eight Great Men of Letters＂ has become an important concept in the history of Chinese literature. The present paper concerns how the term was raised and became acceptable. Lu Zu-qian was the earliest to go in for the ＂Eight Great Men of Letter of the Tang and Song Dynasties＂ studies. He selected and edited Huang Chap Wen Jian, Gu Wen Guan dian which were used as textbooks to teach his students. His activities played an important role in the position of the eight great men of letters in the history of Chinese literature and promoted the formation of the concept.
