十五”期间山东钢铁工业科技工作取得了显著成绩,但仍存在着产品档次低、技术经济指标落后、自主创新能力薄弱等问题。“十一五”期间必须转变增长方式,依靠技术创新,推广应用先进技术,开发高附加值新产品;加强领导,完善技术创新体系,增加科技投入,保证科技发展目标的实现。

The science and technology works of Shandong iron and steel industry have acquired remarkable achievements but exist yet some problems such as low grade of products, behindhand technological and economic indexes and weak self-innovation ability etc. The increasing fashion must be changed in the＂Elevenths Fire＂period by depending on technology innovation, extending and adopting advanced techniques, developing high added-value products, strengthening guidance, perfecting technology innovation system and increasing input for science and technology, to ensure the science bud technology development objects realization.
