摘要
对小波变换理论在图像编码中的应用及EZW算法进行了介绍,并针对EZW算法存在的不足,提出了改进措施,如对最低频子带单独进行编码,对高频子带进行边缘检测等。实验结果表明:该算法有效地克服了EZW算法存在的不足,其编解码速度、图像恢复质量等均优于EZW算法。
This paper simply introduces the application of wavelet in image processing and the algorithm of EZW. According to the shortage of EZW, an improved method is proposed, namely encoding the low frequency subband independently, detecting the edge in high subband. Experimental results show that the improved algorithm is superior to EZW by contrasting PSNR/db, the time of coding and decoding.
