摘要
自然景观的计算机三维模拟是计算机图形学研究的重要领域之一。本文在分析比较几种自然景观模拟方法之后,提出了一种模拟山、水景观的基于移位的递归子分割方法.该方法不仅可以进行景观特征的局部控制,而且克服了景观模拟中的“折痕问题”.我们已用该方法在SGIIRIS4D/25图形工作站上实现了山、水的三维模拟,得到了满意的效果.
Three dimensional modelling of natural phenomena is one of the most important research areas in computer graphics. This paper presents a recursive subdivision method for simulating natural phenomena such as mountain and water. This is mainly based on displacing interpolated points method. This method not only possesses the advantage of local shape control, but also overcomes the creasing problem in natural phenomena simulation. This method is implemented using C on SGI IRIS 4D/25 and the experimental results are satisfactory.
