In the Name of ″Father″: The Motif of ″Father on Trial″ in Western Literature

人类社会发展在某种意义上是以男性为中心的父权文明的演化。与父权文明的历史演化轨迹具有互文互喻性相通的是文学创作中对“父亲”形象和父性话语的重构与解构。这种重构和解构铸炼成西方文学的“审父”母题。本文考察和探询了西方文学中“审父”母题的诸种创作形态,并从中阐发其文化内涵和艺术审美品质。本文认为审父叙事中的“审”不是审判而是审度、审视、审察,寻父是审父母题的一种必然性变奏,而“渎父”或“弑父”是审父母题趋向质变的极端形式。

The development of human society corresponds with the evolution of male-centered patriarchal civilization. Both the reconstruction and deconstruction of ＂father＂ image and fatherhood in the literary creation have intertextual and metaphorical relationship with the historical evolution of paternal civilization, and they form the ＂ father on trial＂ motif in Western literature. This article investigates the various literary forms of the ＂father on trial＂ motif in Western literature, aimed at revealing its aesthetic and cultural values.
