美国越南战争文学研究综览及其走势

The Past and Future of American Vietnam War Literature Studies in China

美国越南战争文学滥觞于20世纪60年代中期。美国学者对越战文学的研究始于20世纪70年代初。而中国学者的研究步伐比美国几乎滞后30年。尽管如此,中国学者的研究成果十分喜人,这表现在:研究起点高,视角新,而且在某些方面填补了美国学者的研究空白。本文在勾勒中国学者的研究成果现状的同时提出它的未来研究之路:对作家和作品的系统研究、美国战争文学对比研究、越战文学的共性主题和写作手法研究、越战文学的阶段性研究以及将新的文学批评理论和文本分析相结合,从而使中国读者更全面更深刻地了解美国社会、历史、文学和意识形态。

American Vietnam War Literature appeared in the mid 1960s. American scholars started their research on it in the early 1970s. Although Chinese scholars began their study in this area 30 years later, they have made great achievements by approaching American Vietnam War Literature from new perspectives. This paper is aimed at outlining the achievements made in China in the past years. Meanwhile, the paper puts forward such tentative approaches as systematic research of the writers and their works, comparative study of American war literature, research of the common themes and writing techniques of American Vietnam War literature and the combination of new critical approaches with the textual analysis. It is hoped that the new researches may help Chinese readers to have a more comprehensive understanding of American society, history, literature and ideology.
