摘要
针对低双折射光纤双束干涉型传感器两臂偏振态随机变化引起的信号衰落,提出了一种新型的光纤传感器结构。通过在双束干涉仪的一臂中加入适当的对光波偏振态的高频三角波或正弦波调制,可以在干涉信号可见度略有降低的情况下消除偏振衰落的影响。
A new kind of fiber optic sensor is proposed, which can remove the polarization induced fading (PIF) in conventional low birefringe single mode optical fiber. By adding high frequency modulation to the state of polarization in one arm of the interferometer, the effect of PIF is elimineted at the visibility of 0.707.
