PNT and EO are two kinds of heavy metal oxide glass,which belong PbO-Nb_2O_5-TeO_2 and PbO-Bi_2O_3-Ga_2O_3 systems respectively.In this paper the properties of PNT are compared with those of EO.For most properties PNT is superior to EO especially for nonlinear optical property.The n2 for PNT and EO are 18.4×10￣(-13) and 10.6×10￣(-13) esu respectively.
