120只1日龄固始鸡随机分为2组,在饮用的水中分别添加0、100mg/L的硼。每周每组取鸡10只,解剖取胸腺,称重,制作切片,光镜观察。结果表明:(1)在1—3周龄时试验组胸腺重(TW)及胸彬体重比(TW/BW)低于或等于对照组(P〉0.05),4—6周龄时高于或显著(P〈0.05)高于对照组。(2)在1-2周龄时试验组胸腺组织结构出现轻微退化现象。3周龄起,试验组胸腺发育开始恢复,且硼时胸腺发育具有明显的促进作用。由此得出,在固始鸡的饮用水中添加100mg/L的硼对其胸腺早期发育(前2周)具有轻微抑制作用;在后期(3—6周龄)则具有明显促进作用。
A total of 120 one day-old Gushi chicken were randomly divided into two groups, and 0 and 100 mg/L boron were added into the drinking water respectively. Ten chickens in each group were slaughtered and dissected each week. The thymus was taken out, weighted, sliced up and observed by microscope. The results indicated : ( 1) Thymus weight ( TW ) and thymus weight/body weight (TW/BW) of chickens in the experiment group at 1 -3 week-age were lower than or equal to those in the control group, and at 4 -6 week-age higher than or significantly higher than those in the control group ( P 〈 0.05 ). (2) At 1 -2 week-age, the thymus structure in the experiment group presented a light degeneration. From 3 week-age, the thymus of chickens in the experiment group began to recover and the promoting effect of boron on thymus development was obvious. The results showed that the drinking water supplemented with 100 mg/L boron could obviously promote thymus development of chicken at 3-6 week-age, but had a little inhibition function at 1-2 week-age.
