当代中国美术四个阶段的民族性表现

Selection and Absorption ——National Characteristics of Four Periods of the Contemporary Chinese Art

对文革后美术发展的四个时期重要史实进行分析,指出当代中国美术不同时期民族性的各自特征,从而认为当代美术家只有对与本民族文化相异的东西创造性的汲取、选择性的接受,才能创造出更加丰富多样的艺术形式。

By analysing the main historical facts related to the development of art from the Cultural Revolution up to now, which is divided into four periods, this paper clarifies the national characteristics of each period. The paper further points out that the contemporary Chinese artists can create substantial art works only when they are able to select and absorb, critically and creatively, other art forms that are different from our own national characteristics.
