The essay briefly discusses the achievements and developmentalstrategies of Chinese reading research during its phases of beginning, forming and development. Further, the essay points out Chinese reading research plays an important role in Chinese and foreign culture and education and an indispensable part in rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
