将入射到界面的一般椭圆偏振波按垂直和平行入射面分解为两个互相正交的线偏振波,根据菲涅耳公式和叠加原理合成的反射波和折射波一般也是一般椭圆偏振波.

The elliptical polarized waves that is incident to the interface is decomposed into two mutually orthogonal ones that one is vertical to the interface, another is parallel to it. The reflected and refracted electromagnetic waves that composed by the Fresnel-formula and the superposition principle usually are elliptical polarized waves.
