The study of papermaking expert system based on fuzzy theory （PMES）has important meanings for ensuring steady operation of equipment and improving product quality. The article discusses the application of fuzzy theory on expert system in the field of knowledge＇ s express. And constructed the PMES＇ s knowledge base. Divide the knowledge to three level. The express of knowledge is more effective than the common expert system. Ensures the consistency of knowledge by design the restriction between the different knowledge table.
