The article analyzes and concludes achievements acquired in economic construction of China' s petroleum and chemical industry in 2005 and points out a series of problems and contradictions facing it in its development. It also forecasts the development prospect of China' s petroleum and chemical industry in 2006 as well as the development environment during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan.
