The Qualm to the Development of Private Auto in Urban China: Reflections on the Automobile-consumption Policy in light of Urban Planning Perspective

Lacking of full consideration on externalities, the automobile-consumption policy in China today will make urban planning facing a great challenge of traffic congestion. This article discusses the possibility of successfully responding to this challenge by arranging land resources, and also gives some advices on how to improve the policy in the direction of sustainability.
