岭南园林发展变迁的地理透视

Geographical Perspective of the Vicissitude of Lingnan Gardens

从岭南园林与地理环境的关系入手对岭南园林进行了相关的研究和探讨,分析了岭南园林形成的地理背景、岭南园林的地域特征及岭南园林的时空发展特征,得出地理环境对岭南园林的形成与发展变迁起决定性作用的结论。提出当代岭南园林应以地方文化为底蕴,以可持续发展观为指导进行因地制宜发展的建议。

As one of the three types of famous Chinese Gardens, Lingnan Gardens have their unique art style. Besides the elementary characteristics of Chinese traditional gardens, they also have special regional features in garden layout, building configuration, distribution of trees and flowers, and arrangement of water and hills, which constitute the Lingnan art style different from North Gardens and Jiangnan（ regions south of the Yangtze River） Gardens. The geographical environment is the foundation and conditions for cultural development. As a kind of culture phe- nomena, the development and vicissitude of Lingnan Gardens are affected by special historical and regional condi- tions, the natural conditions of subtropical, and tropical regions and special human-historical circumstances create the special art style of Lingnan Gardens. Conforming to the regional and natural environment is an important principle for construction of Lingnan Gardens, which are characterized by the fusion of human culture and natural landscape. Therefore, investigation of Lingnan Gardens from the geographical points of view, analysis from the geographical background about the forming and the temporal-spatial developmental characters are propitious to understand the style of Lingnan Gardens. Finally, in this paper some suggestions for the sustainable development of Lingnan Gardens are put forward.
