认知语言学认为,推理在语言符号转换中起着重要作用。语言交际中信息的理解与表达实质上是个推理的过程;翻译旨在探究对原文的理解和译文的表达。然而,语言互动和交际过程中出现的文化差异往往给翻译带来种种障碍,对策之一就是通过认知推理以求翻译中的等值转换。

According to cognitive linguistis, inference plays a vital role in the transfer of linguistic signs. In communication, the understanding and expression of information are actually a process of inference. The purpose of translation is to understand the target language and express it in another language. However, cultural differences resulting from interaction of languages and communication tend to bring about barriers. One of the solutions is to seek equivalent transfer in translation by cognitive inference.
