Creation of Yuefu About the Frontier Fortress in the Southern Dynasty and the Cause of Formation

南朝边塞诗均以乐府诗的面目出现,虽数量不多,但历代著名诗人均有此类作品。总体来说,南朝边塞乐府诗的创作处于一种萌芽阶段,但影响深远。南朝诗坛出现边塞乐府诗,既有乐府诗创作传统的影响,又与南朝的慕古风尚有关,而北朝诗歌的传入与南朝的享乐风气也都对南朝边塞诗歌的产生起了促进作用。

The poetry about frontier fortress in the Southern Dynasty appears in the form of Yuefu （folk songs and ballads in the Han style）. Small in quantity, they found favour in many a famous poets of all dynasties. To sum up, the creation of the poetry in this period is in the rudimentary stage hut with far-reaching significance. Its appearance owes much to the influence of traditional Yuefu creation as well as the tendency of admiration for the ancient. The introduction of the poetry from the Northern Dynasty and extravagance fashions in the Southern Dynasty have also contributed to its creation of the poetry about the frontier fortress.
