Prima cords are typical secondary units to transfer energy. Exploding speed of the prima cord directly influences the performance of perforators. Through tests of the speed, we found there are several important factors effecting the speed, such as the cord diameter, explosive density, explosive types, additives in the explosive, explosive grain-sizes,and so on. It＇s sure that tests of the speed and analysis on the factors effecting the speed will provide useful data for choosing high-quality prima cord.
