荆州古建筑有很高的历史价值,但在消防上存在严重的不良现象.荆州不利自然气候的影响和荆州古建筑的组成材料、建筑形式、结构形式、构件特点及这些特点所导致的火灾扑救困难等自身的原因和相关部门对古建筑管理保护不力三方面原因造成荆州古建筑存在火灾危险性.针对现状提出防火对策和建议.

The ancient buildings in Jingzhou are of high historic value, but are difficult in fire control. There are three reasons, i. e. the characteristics of the unfavorable climate, the building materials, forms, components, and the inefficient protective measures of the departments concerned. Countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
