The Interaction between Yunnan Traditional Ethnic Sports and Modern sports Culture

云南是一个少数民族众多的省份,各民族在这片红土地上生活、繁衍,在各民族传统节日、宗教、婚俗丧葬等活动中广泛开展各种体育活动,在这些活动中,民族传统体育充分体现了文体兼并性、广泛的群众性、健身性及美学特征等特点,这些特征,使其能够与现代体育相互融合、互为发展,进而朝着旅游业和产业化的方向发展,使少数民族传统体育和现代体育携手步入一个新的发展时期。

Yunnan is a province with multiple ethnic minority groups. All of the Yunnaness live and propagate here. They have developed various sports activities in festivals, religious activities, marriage customs and funerals. These traditional ethnic sports have showed the colorful characteristics of combination of the traditional culture and sports activities. Owing to the characteristics, it is in perfect harmony with modem sports. They are expected to be the carrier of the tourism and have the prospect to be industrialized. The ethnic sports and modem sports will work together for a new period of development.
