Deeply Understand the Connotations and Spirits of Scientific View of Development

中共十六届五中全会审议通过的《建议》,其最鲜明的特点是,坚持以科学发展观统领经济社会发展全局。深刻领会和全面把握科学发展观的基本内涵和精神实质,要明确科学发展观是必须长期坚持的重要指导思想;要把科学发展观放到世界观和方法论的层面来认识。“坚持以科学发展观统领经济社会发展全局”,突出表明了科学发展观指导实践的作用。来自于实践的科学发展观,只有运用于建设中国特色社会主义事业的伟大实践,才能彰显出其强大的生命力,结出丰硕的果实。

The most distinctive feature of the Advice reviewed and approved in the 5th Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee of CPC is to guide the overall economic and social development with the scientific view of development. To understand deeply and thoroughly the connotations and spirits of the scientific view of development, we must realize that it is an important guiding principle for advancing the economic and social development and accelerating the socialist modernization. We must understand the scientific view of development by using world outlook and methodology. The scientific view of development plays an important guiding role, and it will show its great vitality and achieve great success only if being put into practice of building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
