摘要
主题网关在国外已发展成为一种网络信息资源组织的重要模式。该文分析介绍了国内外一些著名的主题网关在资源的选择和描述、提供检索和服务以及解决互操作问题等方面所采取的各项关键技术措施,并就主题网关发展急需解决的技术问题进行了简要探讨。
Subject Gateway has been developed to be one of the most important modes for librarians to organize information on the Internet. This paper introduces and analyses the key techniques that were used during selecting and describing resources, providing services and solving the problem of the interoperability adopted by several famous subject gateways. Some technical issues that are urgent to be handled during the development of subject gateway are also discussed in this paper.
