A big step forward- Looking further!

中国最近对人民币汇率制度改革的举措。预示着弹性汇率制度的到来。而早在2005年5月18日中国外汇交易中心推出的外币买卖平台，是中国向前迈出的一大步。中国就此建立起了一个市场。在许多方面，这一交易平台部比现有的交易平台有显善的改善。交易中心的前进方向是正确的，但毫无疑问还有更多的工作要做。

China＇s recent move in RMB exchange rate regime reform is the heralding of a flexible exchange rate regime. While the foreign currency pairs trading platform launched by the China Foreign Exchange Trade System （CFETS） on May 18, 2005 is a big step forward and has created a marketplace for FX trading that is in many ways significantly better than the existing venues. CFETS has certainly moved in the right direction, but there remains more to ne done.
