摘要 采用固态放大器直接驱动前向波管的新型放大链与“固态-中功率行波管-前向波管”三级放大链相比较,具有更好 的性能指标,可靠性指标也将大大提高,由于不需要灯丝预热,可实现放大链的瞬时开机。文章介绍了一种用固态放大器直 接驱动直流工作的S波段前向波管的实验情况和实验数据,对这种新型放大链的技术关键和应用前景进行了分析。 A novel amplifier chain which is composed of the forward wave crossed-field amplifier (CFA) driven directly by solid state amplifier (SSA) is better in performances and reliability compared with traditional three stage chain which is composed of "SSA + TWTA + CFA". An S band "SSA + CFA" chain is experimentally studied in this paper. The experiment results and associated key technologies are presented in detail. Its potential application in radar is also discussed.
