On Three Humanistic Views

在以什么人为本和如何以人为本的问题上,不同民族、不同社会有不同的看法,形成多种多样的人本观。其中,对人类文明发展产生重大影响的,主要有中国传统的伦理主义人本观、西方的个人主义人本观和社会主义的集体主义人本观。伦理主义人本观是中华文明发展的产物,是中国封建社会发展的思想旗帜;个人主义人本观是西方文明发展的产物,是西方资本主义社会发展的思想旗帜;集体主义人本观是在马克思主义指导下确立的．是社会主义社会发展的思想旗帜,当代中国的发展必须坚持以集体主义人本观为指导。

In general, there are three humanistic views which have exerted great influence on human civilization, namely, traditional Chinese ethical humanistic view, which was the result of the development of Chinese civilization; Western individualist humanistic view, which is the result of the development of Western civilization; and socialist collectivist humanistic view, which is the banner of socialist social development. The development in contemporary China should be guided by collectivist humanistic view.
