An Interpretation and Reading of Tibetan Scripture Found on the Inner and Outer Coffins of the Qianlong Emperor at Yuling

本文重点对乾隆裕陵内所存棺椁上的藏文经咒进行了释读,作者试图通过此项研究,找到清代皇帝棺椁上所刻藏文经咒的基本内容及其宗教意义,并在此基础上探讨清帝对于藏传佛教信仰的真实历史情况。

This article presents an interpretation and reading of Tibetan prayers found on the coffins of the Qianlong Emperor at his Yuling mausoleum, on the basis of which the author attempts to determine the basic content and religious significance of the use by the Qing emperors of Tibetan prayers to adorn coffins as well as the true historical nature of the belief of the Qing emperors in Tibetan Buddhism.
