余华的写作专注于人性中非常态的行为心理,以及扭曲异化的原始罪恶。冷酷与暴力是其小说的核心语码,然而看似冷漠的叙事方式掩饰不住作家内心狂热的生命体验与关怀。《世事如烟》作为其80年代的代表作品,综合运用多种现代派技法,颇能体现余华早期的创作风格和魅力。

Yu Hua has been focusing on writing the things concemig abnormal behavioral psychology as well as the distorted primitive crimes of humanity. Both Inexorability and violence are two typical characteristics in his novels. The superficial apathy, however, cannot prevent him from expressing his inner craziness for life. On the contray, doing this, he utterly shows his deep conceres towards the world. One of his representative works in 1980s is named Bygones Are Gone like Wind in which the author integrates a variety of modem writing skills, and from which the nature and the writing styles of his early writings can be seen apparently.
