Synthesis of (E)-Phenyl 2-(1,3-Dithiolan-2-ylidene)-3-oxo-5-arylpent-4-enoates

（ E ）-phenyl 2-（1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene） -3-oxo-5-arylpent-4-enoates 3 were synthesized in good yield by the chlorination of （E）-2-（ 1,3-dithiolan-2-ylidene）-3-oxo-5-arylpcnt-4- enoic acids 1 with sulfur oxychloride and followed esterification reaction with selected alphatic alcohols.
