略论隋炀帝的“非轻侧之论”

ON ELEGANCE AND GORGEOUSNESS OF EMPEROR YANG IN SUI DYNASTY

从《隋书.文学传序》和《隋书.柳辩传》中的两段材料入手,考察了隋炀帝的文学观“非轻侧之论”的有关内容及其历史背景。隋炀帝的“非轻侧之论”提倡典丽,它不仅在一定程度上修正了隋文帝的粗暴文化政策,缓和了南方文士的抵触情绪,有利于国家统一,而且获得了文帝欢心。

A research is made on what Emperor Yang＇ s elegance and gorgeousness means and its background from two documents of Biography of Literature in Sui Dynasty. It is believed that it implies elegance. As a result, it revises Emperor Wen＇ s cruel culture policy to some extent, and mitigates the resistance of southern intellects, and helps the reunification of the country and makes Emperor Wen happy.
