性别差异已经作为一种语言学变量而纳入英语语言研究之中。文章从社会语言学的角度探讨在英语语音、语调、词汇和句法结构三方面体现的性别差异以及产生性别差异的原因。

This paper introduces the concept of sex differentiation. Nowadays sex differentiation has been regarded as a variable in linguistic research. From the sociolinguistic point of view, this paper analyses the manifestation of sex differentiation in pronunciation, intonation, lexicon and sentence structure and the causes.
