It is a commonly seen problem that there exists the un-standard use of Chinese characters in the urban communities. And it is of great significance to take a right attitude towards this problem and to make efforts to get this problem solved in the hope of setting up a good city image. The un-standard use of the Chinese characters in some public places in the urban areas in Chenzhou has, to a certain extent, damaged the Chinese language itself and the language environment, whose social effects are negative.
