The data communication between a computer and a mobile phone is practical in many fields. This paper shows hardware connection between a computer and a Siemens3508i mobile phone and software design based on VB6. 0 and MSComm control. During the design, a method of ensuring the reliability of data communication using the error checking function of the existing device is also presented. The result shows the feasibility, and it gives out a good idea to solve the reliability problem of data communication.
