At the beginning of 3G network construction, each carrier should take a consideration on how to provide differentiated services with cost advantages and individual features. This article firsdy analyzes the competition characteristics of 3G operation and all-service supporting capability of TD- SCDMA, as well as its advantages in differentiated competition. Then, combining the technical characteristics of TD-SCDMA system and taking some typical services of 3G as examples, it analyzes TD-SCDMA system＇s supporting capability to the differentiated service competition.
