海岸沙丘沉积物主要来自滦河,滦河入海泥沙在偏南风浪的作用下向北搬运并堆积在海滩上;沿岸陆域宽阔、地势低平、海滩宽缓,强劲的向岸风使分选好的海滩沉积物向岸搬运而形成海岸沙丘．目前沙丘仍然是活动的．受自然因素的影响,沙丘向陆迁移,在过去的几十年里,沙丘向陆迁移的平均速度为2-3 m／a．

The original sand source for coastal dunes is Luanhe River . The abundant fluvial sediments are transported northward and deposited on the beach by the alongshore and waves. Wide and low-angle beach is ideal location for these criteria to be met and the offshore wind blows the well-sorted sand grains off the beach and transports the landward, then builds up to coastal dunes. At present time, the coastal dunes are still actives. The sand dunes move to land with the influence of natural factors and the average velocity is 2-3 m/s in the past several decades.
