The framework of the development of EIS is discussed,which will be helpful for both practitioners and research workers in the field of information systems in better understanding the environment of EIS development, finding the leading aspects and their relationships and knowling clearly about the focal point in researches on EIS.The overall structural design of EIS is also discussed along with approaches to EIS development.Some important problems in future investigations on EIS are suggested.
