The article, an effort to explore J. L. Austin＇s Speech Act Theory and its characteristic by reviewing its historical origin. It focuses on such issues as follows ： Saussure＇s structural points on linguistics. It overcomes the bondage of langue in contexts so as to pave a way for the future linguistics study, yet it still cannot go beyond all the limitations.
