2005年台湾“三合一”选举在蓝绿双方白热化的竞争中，终于于12月3日落幕。选举结果，泛蓝县市长、县市议员、乡镇市长都赢得过半的席次。特别是县市长选举中泛蓝在16个县市当选，获得大胜，泛绿只保住厂6个县市，遭到空前惨败。民进党全党震撼，陈水扁声望再创新低，只剩21％，不满意率攀升至62％新高。
The ＂three-in-one＂ elections - the elections of the chiefs and councilors of counties and cities, and township chiefs in Taiwan - came to an end on December 3, 2005 amid intense competition between the pan-blue - consisting of the Chinese Nationalist Party （KMT）, the People First Party （PFP） and the New Party - and pan- green coalitions led by the Democratic Progressive Party （DPP） of ＂President＂ Chen Shui-bian. Results of the election indicate that the pan-blue camp won more than half of all the seats of chiefs and councilors of counties and cities, and township chiefs in the island province of China.
