Constructing a Bridge Across Time and Space——On the Intertextual Space in The French Lieutenant′s Woman

用互文性理论来解析小说《法国中尉的女人》所建构的宽广的互文空间。作者福尔斯不仅精心重构了一个传统的维多利亚时代的小说空间,同时又打破和脱离它的桎梏,使之与后现代的文化语境彼此融合,最终营造出了一个历时性的动态文本空间,因而在传统和现代之间搭建了一座时空的桥梁。

In the novel The French Lieutenant＇s Woman, the author John Fowles not only elaborately reconstructs a novel of the traditional Victorian times, but also combines the tradition with the postmodern cultural context by breaking and going beyond its confinement. Therefore a diachronic and dynamic intertextual space is established to construct a bridge across time and space between the tradition and the modem.
