费孝通是我国著名的社会学家、人类学家,他的学术成就获得了世界性声誉。在费孝通近70年的学术探索过程中,农村社区研究一直是他关注的重心。费孝通在农村社区研究中运用的以村落为单位的实地研究法、类型比较法、功能分析法具有鲜明特色,不仅是对传统农村社区研究方法的超越,而且对社会学、人类学的研究方法和未来发展作出了巨大贡献。

Professor Fei Xiaotong is a famous sociologist and anthropologist in our Country.His academic achievement has got worldwide prestige. In his near 70 years academic course, the study of countryside community is always the core of his attention.The methods which he used in research of countryside community, such as practical research（taking the hamlet as one unit）,type comparison and function analysis have the distinct features.Those methods not only transcend the traditional methods but also make great contribution to the research method and future development of the sociology and the anthropology.
