Based on the numerical simulation, a simplified homogeneous model with chemical reaction both in slow reaction zone and in flame zone is presented and verified by experiments. The ignition temperature predicted by the model decreases with increasing oxygen concentration, particle diameter and ambient temperature, which is in good agreement with experimental results. The homogeneous ignition time can also be predicted. A criterion fordistinguishing the homogeneous ignition from the heterogeneous ignition is presented.
