Rethinking of Domestication and Foreignization

归化和异化是两种不同的翻译策略,主要是翻译时对文化的处理方法问题。好的译者就在忠实于原作者和忠实于读者之间找到最佳的平衡点,译文要充分传达原作的“原貌”,就不能不走异化的途径;而要像原作一样通顺,也不能舍弃归化的译法。

Domestication and foreignization are two translation methods. They are related to the processing methods of culture in translation. This paper analyzes the problem of domestication and foreignization based on the relationship of language and culture.
