Harmonious Development:Challenge and Option Faced by Folk Religion

在我国,民间信仰不仅仅是一种历史现象,还是一种“活态”文化。民间信仰重新“浮出水面”,在理论上和政策上为我们提出了许多需要认真思考的问题:民间信仰的性质如何界定,它在组织模式上有何特点,它在中国社会未来发展的文化战略中占有什么样的地位和作用(正面的和负面的)。国家在社会控制层面应采取何种策略等等。

In China, folk religion is not only a historical phenomenon, but a ＂living＂ culture as well. The revival of folk religion forces us to carefully reflect on many problems related to theory and policy, such as ： how to define the nature of folk religion, the characteristics of its organization mode, its position and roles （both positive and negative） in the cultural strategy of China＇s future social development, and the tactics government should adopt in the aspect of social control.
