With the development of embedded system products, their features, such as performance, capacity and package, are demanded more improved. Taking Samsung NAND Flash K9K1G08U0B-JIB0, mainly used in mobile phone, for example, this article contrasts the characteristics of NAND and NOR Flash, expounds the organization and using methods of NAND Flash, introduces the application of NAND Flash in embedded systems, and how to set up the Linux system for supporting the NAND Flash.
