Through media assessment and cumulative scoring, the paper analyses the track and field achievements at 2004 Athens Olympic Games and the overall track and field competitive competence of all the attending countries form the perspectives of geographical location of medal winners and track and field overall scoring in order to provide references for the development strategies of track and field in China.
