Defatted milk powder was heated and nitrified together with thick sulfuric acid, copper sulfate and potassium sulfate to give (NH4)2SO4, which was distilled under the alkaline condition to release HN3, which was in turn absorbed with boric acid and then titrated with hydrochloric acid standard solution to give the contents of proteins through calculation.
