The karyotypes of Rodentia in China are reviewed in this paper. And we summarize the general condition and latest developments of chromosome banding technology. The reasons why there are many differences in karyotypes of Rodentia are expatiated on. In the last place, we introduce the prospects of new technologies used in karyotype study of Rodentia.
