涂装由涂料半成品转化为涂层，受设计、表面处理、涂装、涂层养护等过程因素的影响．在表面处理及涂装阶段，又受环境条件的制约。涂装设计厚度影响涂层使用寿命．厚度值应与表面处理形成的粗糙度、涂层质量验收的允许负偏差相结合。才能保证重大工程整体质量，专家吴贤官、沈志聪和王塘对涂装质量问题的表观现象进行了深入分析，以使读者避免同类事故的重复发生。
Coating quality relies on surface preparation, coating design, coat maintenance .environmental conditions .etc. Coat thickness decides the coat life span.
