摘要
在诗歌翻译中,韵律的处理一直是困扰着译者的问题,尤其是汉语古诗的英译更是一个棘手的难题。对诗歌具有决定意义的是诗歌的内在韵律而非其外在韵律,判断译诗韵律处理是否得当的标准应该是译文是否有效地传达出了原作诗歌的内在韵律。极端格律派和散文诗派传译汉语古诗均不利于表达原诗内在韵律。
In translating poems, especially ancient Chinese poems, a headache problem for the translators is how to deal with the rhyming. In order to probe into this question, the article seeks help from the concept of the so-called intrinsic rhythm. The author holds that the intrinsic rhythm instead of the extraneous rhythm is the essence of a poem. Whether a translator has successfully transformed the intrinsic rhythm of the original should be regarded as a criterion for translating ancient Chinese poems into English. At last, the article points out two improper ways of translating Ancient Chinese Poems into English, for there are some disadvantages of the two ways in transforming the intrinsic rhythm of the original.
