The paper introduces the technical features of the GPS and INSAR when they are used to monitor large area surface subsidence,and analyses the necessity and feasibility of combination of these two technologies.In addition,the theory and method of such combination technology are discussed and its application prospect is also forecasted on basis of successful experiences both at home and abroad in the paper.
